Matters arising
The Clerk had been asked in the January meeting to write to Cole & Cole Partnership regarding the large (and growing) heap of rubbish and discarded building materials on their site behind the village hall and enquire how and when they intended to dispose of it. This was done soon after the meeting but, to date, no reply has been received.
County & District Councillors’ Reports
County Cllr Marianne Overton was unable to attend but her monthly newsletter had been circulated earlier in the month.
District Cllr Mary Green had circulated her monthly report which included issues such as the NK Community Lottery, the proposed North Hykeham Relief Road, empty houses, the King’s Coronation, the NK 2023-26 plan and the upcoming local elections on 4th May. ‘ Idling’ car engines at schools was also mentioned.
Village Signs
A further discussion took place on the quotations received, one of which was deemed too expensive. The name of another manufacturer was given – Nuneaton Signs – since when this company has emailed estimates for their various designs. Also Glasdon has been approached after receiving literature from them.
This will be considered again at the next meeting.
King’s Coronation Weekend
