Councillors comments/Any other business.
Cllr Moles mentioned there was a rotten gate post in the parish cemetery adjoining the footpath entrance/exit gate. He also commented there was a local feeling that the Highways Authority were giving little or no notice before undertaking road repairs in the area.
It was also pointed out that excessive mud/soil had been deposited on Newark road during the period of heavy rain earlier in the year.
The question of plot sizes and layout in the parish cemetery was raised during a discussion on whether to permit ‘kerbs’ around grave perimeters. Since when Cllr Husemeyer has undertaken to draw up a parish policy document for information purposes and give guidance on future decision making. This will be discussed at a later date before being adopted.
