Minutes of the previous meetings
Minutes of the Annual Parish meeting and Parish Council meeting held on 19th May 2025 were signed as true and correct records.
Matters arising
Cllr Gibson suggested that Lincolnshire Highways should be asked to include Butt Lane when they carry out their monitoring of vehicle speeds because there is a similar problem to that on Main Street. This has been done.
Reference the discarding of rubbish by fishermen after they have left Embryo Angling’s lakes, which has now occurred on at least 2 occasions, the Clerk was asked to communicate with Matt Pettit to seek Embryo Angling’s help in bringing this problem under control by putting notices up on site and by supplying adequate rubbish bins.
Matt Pettit has replied to the Clerk’s email stating that the 2 fishermen identified for discarding rubbish off-site have been banned from fishing on their lakes, that appropriate notices will be clearly sited on the premises but that large commercial bins will not be used due to cost. Instead, as an interim measure, staff will monitor the adjoining countryside on a regular basis for any signs of the afore-mentioned problem.
District Councillor’s report
Many matters covered in a comprehensive report including Food waste collection, the Government review of the planning applications issue, where it is now in its consultation period, Heritage strategy, free fruit trees for communities, Village Hall funding grants, and power outage. The NKDC’s monthly update/newsletter is distributed when received

Fosse Green Energy
Their planning application has just been sent in for validation and will be discussed at a meeting of the FGE Action group on 13th August.
Meanwhile the ‘Springwell Enquiry’, which is the largest proposed solar farm in the country completed on 18th July.
Bomber County Gateway Trust
The new Chairman of the Trust, Charlie White, attended the meeting to announce that, barring unforeseen circumstances, the fabrication work should be completed by the end of August with the first week in September scheduled for the bomber’s move by road to Brills Farm in 5 sections where its erection will take place.
The ambitious project has taken 8 years to get to this stage with much time and effort put in by so many individuals and companies all of whom deserve our praise and recognition. Although at least £320k has been raised, this is really only a fraction of the costs involved due to the generosity of so many giving their labour and materials for free to see this inspirational undertaking come to fruition.
